Empowering Africa’s Women to Lead the Future of Technology

About ETA

ETA University (Emerging Technologies Africa University) is a visionary, digital-first institution created to transform education and opportunity across the continent. We exist to empower women — particularly those historically underestimated — by delivering world-class, industry-aligned degrees in emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Cybersecurity, and beyond.

But we’re more than a university. We’re a movement for equality, access, and economic liberation. We believe when you educate a woman, you educate a nation. Our fully online model bridges education, innovation, and real-world job placement — ensuring our students not only learn, but thrive.  â€‹

Our Values:

Equity First

We center underestimated women and communities in every decision.

Excellence Always

Our programs are globally competitive, industry-aligned, and outcomes-driven.

Innovation at the Core

We embrace emerging technologies, not just to teach them — but to lead through them.

Africa Forward

Our work is rooted in the belief that Africa can lead the world in tech — with the right tools and talent.

Backed by Strategy, Built for Scale

ETA University’s scalable model allows us to serve 100,000+ students across 7+ countries — without the barriers of traditional education.

Through strategic partnerships with governments, corporations, and NGOs, we’re creating real economic opportunities for women — and keeping top talent rooted in their communities.

Why We Exist

Across Sub-Saharan Africa:

  • Only 3% of youth are enrolled in higher education

  • Women make up less than 25% of the tech workforce

  • Skilled professionals are leaving the continent in a “brain drain”

We’re here to rewrite that narrative.
ETA University offers:

  • Fully online.

  • Career-aligned education in tech-focused degree programs

  • A culturally relevant platform

  • Partnerships with employers to secure internships and job placements

Our work directly aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals — including Gender Equality, Quality Education, Decent Work and Economic Growth, and No Poverty.
